Gobble, Gobble...

Thanksgiving Break is a beautiful thing, my friend. I finally get a bit of time to go through some of my final project photos, take pictures (FOR FUN!) and sleep. Mmm...

Briefly: Carol is raising two children, Nick and Nora. They try to live as green as possible; they ride their bikes whenever possible, and hang clothing up to dry. They eat organic, and try to support the local economy by avoiding shopping at places like Wal-Mart. I am really enjoying working with Carol and their family...I would even say I'm inspired. She is just...cool. Haha...I suppose that is the best way to describe it.

Some of these are pretty similar, but keep in mind that I am far from a final edit. I am kicking myself for not starting this project in early October, because now the weather is too bad for me to capture some key moments. I REALLY want a photo of some biking because Carol and her family are very dedicated to living green, but I guess I will see how everything works out.

I would love some input!

I love this, but it's kind of hard to tell what is going on when it is just her by herself. I just enjoy the framing I guess.

This one? Or this one? We went to her mother-in-law's ALPACA FARM. It was great.

Well, that is enough from me. Have a happy Thanksgiving everyone!

November Happenings.

I've been feeling a little better lately, so I've actually been able to get out take some photos. My sports assignment has been a long time coming, so it feels good to finally get that off of my shoulders.

Too bad I cut off the feet. Go me!

I think this is the one I am going to turn it. Gotta love the beard.

These two are pretty much the same picture. I prefer the top for a feature shot, but the girls left before I got their names. Argh.

Also, I went home last week to my friend Jeannie's wedding. She looked so beautiful!

The Never-Ending Cough...

...really needs to stop. I would really like to be in line for Obama right now, but instead I am sitting in my house. I could go to the doctor again, but I'd rather not deal with the student "health" center. I can buy my own Gatorade, thankyouverymuch.

I haven't updated in ages, but here is my environmental portrait and a detail shot. My final subject's name is Carol Brown, and I am really looking forward to working with her. She is a local seamstress, raising two children, and is all about living green.

These were the two I submitted.

I liked her face in this photo, but it is a little overexposed and I liked the overall sense of place in the first one better.

I love detail shots, but I need to cut back on them.

And since it's fall...how about some pretty-ness?!

The first photo looks much better on my flickr...
